Who Are We ?
We are a community-based not-for-profit organisation managed by a Board of Management made up of representatives from the Community Services, Health and Education Industries. We are committed to excellence in training to achieve a skilled, recognised and valued workforce for our Industries. Improving access to training and skills recognition underlies all the Training.
Community Services, Health & Education Industries
We have provided leadership, advice, assistance, training accreditation and registration services in Western Australia since 1992. We have a strong record in research and workforce development projects. We also provide consultancy services. We are strategically positioned to provide up to date, consistent and informed workforce planning and development advice at local, state and national levels.
Our Workforce Development Planning and Workforce Development Services include:
- Workforce Development Plans for sectors of the industries covered
- Advice on the State Priority Occupation List
- Advice on the West Australian Skilled Migration Occupation List
- Formation of regional Industry Advisory Groups
- Formation of sector specific Industry Advisory Groups such as:
- Aged Care/ HACC IAG
- Enrolled Nurses IAG
- Children's Services IAG
- Aboriginal Primary Health Work IAG
- Training & Assessment IAG
- Education Support IAG

- Establishment of Traineeships
- Participation in the judging of the Western Australian Training Awards
- On behalf of WA – liaison with :
- Community Services & Health Industry Skills Council about the Community Services & Health Training Packages
